Tuba

Patrick Haymore is currently the Director of Bands at Granite Falls Middle School in Granite Falls, NC. Prior to joining the GFMS faculty he taught at Lakeshore Middle School in Mooresville, NC.  While at Lakeshore, Mr. Haymore’s bands received consistent “superior” and “excellent” ratings at music festival including the school’s first “superior” rating at the state sanctioned Music Performance Assessment.   He was named Lakeshore’s Teacher of the Year in 2015.  Before assuming that position, Mr. Haymore taught at Western Pines Community Middle School in West Palm Beach, FL, Northview Middle School in Hickory, NC, and Bartlett Yancey High School in Yanceyville, NC.

Mr. Haymore attended Appalachian State University where he was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow and earned a degree in music education in 2003.  He studied tuba with Mr. C. Robert Clark, and performed with the university's Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Band, numerous brass quintets, and was a three year member of the Marching Mountaineers.
